Getting Started¶
Setting up DailyQuotes takes about a minute — everything happens in one interactive panel.
🚀 The Setup Panel¶
Run /setup to open the panel. Every setting is listed with its current value and an Edit button next to it — no multi-step wizard to click through.
⚡ Fastest path: Quick start¶
Press Quick start in the panel and the bot will:
- Set the current channel (or your pick) as the quote channel
- Apply sensible defaults (General category, English, embed style)
- Post a sample quote right away so you can see the result
That's it — daily quotes are now active. Tweak anything else whenever you like.
What you can edit¶

Test anytime
Press 📝 Test quote in the panel (or run /test_quote) to post a sample quote and check everything looks right.
🎨 Picture Quote Setup 🌟¶
Premium Feature
Picture quotes require an active Premium subscription.
Run /setup_picture (or open Picture settings from /setup) to customize your image quotes.
Choose a built-in background — or upload your own!
- Ocean, Mountains, City, Space
- Autumn, Desert, Snow, Rainbow
- Random (a different background every day)
- Custom — upload up to 8 of your own images
Customize the quote text:
- Fill Color — main text color
- Outline Color — text stroke color
Pick from 24 hand-picked fonts:

⚙️ View Current Settings¶
Run /config anytime to see your server's configuration at a glance:
- Quote channel, ping role, category (and book section), language
- Quote style, delivery time, discussion threads
- Premium status
Admins also get a quick category switcher right in the response.
🔄 Reset Settings¶
Run /reset_settings to reset one thing — or everything.

Every reset asks you to confirm before anything is changed.

Give DailyQuotes these permissions so everything works smoothly:

Pro Tip
Without Manage Webhooks, the bot still works — it just falls back to regular bot messages.
